These are a cross between the fabricated slide valve and the TESV. Developed for use on very abrasive materials such as sand, ash and cement, the Cement valve lasts for years where normal valves wear out quickly.

There is no stuffing box seal to maintain, the plate support rollers run with sealed ball bearings and the valve chest is kept clear by the sloped outlet of the valve. Exhaust air is also piped into the chest area to sweep it clean and keep product away form teh cylinder nose seals.
