Where equipment
is to be used in potentially explosive atmospheres, MID can
provide equipment CE marked to the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC
for group II category 1, 2 and 3.
For Category 1 equipment and for technical
file submission, we use Baseefa as
the notified body.
We have a short guide to the implications of
ATEX, downloadable
here. Please note this is our interpretation of the ATEX
directive and should in no way be relied upon as a definitive
guide. MID accept no liability for actions taken on the basis
of this guide and recommend advice be taken from a suitable
qualified adviser (e.g., Baseefa).
We welcome comments on the guide- please email atex@mid.uk.com.
